Description

Xenical (Orlistat) is a medication that is prescribed to help people with obesity lose weight and prevent further weight gain. It blocks enzymes in your intestines from absorbing some of the fat that you eat, enabling you to eat smaller amounts of fat and calories and lose weight. Xenical is available in a capsule form and is taken orally three times a day with meals. The recommended daily dose is one 120 mg capsule taken with a meal containing about 15 mg of fat. Xenical should be taken for up to two years. Possible side effects of Xenical include abdominal pain, diarrhea, and excessive gas.
